One:    O come, let us sing to the Lord,

All:      Let us make a joyful noise to our God!

One:    Let us come into God’s presence with thanksgiving;

All:      Let us make a joyful noise with songs of praise!

One:    For the Lord is a great God

All:      And a great king above all gods.

            God, open our lips and we will proclaim your praise!

Prayer of Invocation (in unison)

Loving God, we celebrate your presence among us today, and we are grateful for the ways in which you have blessed our lives. We want to spread your love to those who need it, and we ask for the guidance of your Spirit. Give us the courage to speak, and the wisdom to know when to be silent. Make our whole lives into a living testimony to your power and love.
