Call to Worship
One: The Lord is Sovereign; let the people tremble!
All: The Lord sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!
One: The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the people.
All: Let us praise the great and awesome name. Holy is he!
One: Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
All: Extol the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.
Prayer of Invocation (in unison)
God of light, you are beyond our grasp or conceiving. Before the brightness of your presence, the angels veil their faces. As we come before you as a community, awaken that part of our lives so that, through the Word and Sacrament, we might see your glory, be nourished by your love, and guided back into this world as witnesses to your light. We ask this in the name of that light made flesh, Christ our Lord. Amen.
Call to Confession
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Almighty God, it is good for us to be here. Yet by the light of your holiness our sinfulness is exposed. We cling to the comforts of what is known when you call us into your newness. Forgive the many ways that we deny the freedom that only you provide. Forgive us for worshipping the past when you call us into your future. Transform and transfigure us by your glory so that we might follow Jesus on the path of equity, justice and righteousness, wherever that may lead us. We humbly pray this in the name of your Son, your Chosen, Christ our Lord. Amen.

OPPORTUNITIES
WHAT IS GOD CALLING YOU TO DO?
In this time of transition in the life of Salisbury Congregational Church, we invite you to get involved! Please share with the Nominating Committee your talents, interests, and availability. Please take a moment to respond to a short survey so that we can get in touch with you. You may also fill out the paper form that is available at the church office or at the service on Sunday.
If you are willing to serve on a Board or Committee, great! If you are willing to provide food, work with children, contribute flowers, provide a ride to a neighbor in need, thank you!
If you are not sure what you can provide, but would like to help, a member of the Nominating Committee would be happy to chat with you about the needs of the church to find the right fit for you.
Thank you for your stewardship of our congregation!
