Today I am asking for Marion Ferguson as she struggles with health issues. She is the mainstay of this loving, giving family which extends out to friends (that are made to feel like family). Love and prayers for comfort for our friend Marion.

Today, my prayer is layered with both sorrow and enormous gratitude. As we say goodbye to the Rev. Dick Taber, we acknowledge the loss of a good and faithful servant. He guided our congregation for 27 years and was at the heart of the spiritual development of many people, young and old. His legacy extends beyond our church building to the nurturing of the local Crop Walk (as only one of many examples), and his compassion for others - especially people in need and with special circumstances - knew no bounds.
As grateful as I am for all that he brought to our lives, I feel profound sorrow for his family - his wife, Joanne, his children Chris, Matt, Laura, Maria, Jocelyn, and Desean. The entire family has meant an enormous amount to our community.
Dick's resonant voice will be heard by many of us for many years. Thank you, Dick, for all you gave to all of us. And thank you to his family, for supporting him in his ministry.
With great love and gratitude,
Betsy
